I've thought of this before, and from what I know about the way they grow, I believe it would work...just maybe not as well as the grow-them-in-a-jar-method? As long as the mycelium is intact inside the shit, you should be good. Shrooms grow best between 80F-90F in a very humid environment. Every time you get a few to grow, make sure you flick them before you pick them, because you want to be sure to drop more spores so that they will keep growing.

In my experience, cow shit doesn't smell nearly as bad as human or dog shit...all they eat is grass and they do not have any stomach acids.

I've never bought shrooms; I just go to a field and pick them.

(BTW: I went on a spur-of-the-moment shroom hunt yesterday, ate about 15 of them, and had the most spiritual trip I've ever had...and then I had to ride my bike 11 miles to get home at midnight, 6 hours after ingesting them.)

That was just the question i was asking, "do other(bad) mushrooms grow on cow manure?" I just want to get this strait that only shrooms grow on cow manure, so when i go to pic i wont ,you know, die...
Do you varify this fact?
