You google mushroom spores, and then order them. They are not illegal to posess or purchase.

I don't know if this would work, but what if you called a hotel in another state and made a reservation. Have the spores sent to your name care of the hotel (preferably use a shipper that will do a plain package). Call the hotel and tell them that you have a package arriving and to please hold it for you until you arrive. You can tell them that you have been on vacation for several weeks and a friend/family member is sending you something important that you lost, possibly some medication or identification documents. Whatever, just tell the it is important and to hold it for you. Any high end hotel will do this. They are used to dealing with wealthy people who expect all sorts of special services. A couple of days before your reservation date call the hotel and cancel. You can tell them that illness has cut your stay short. Tell them about the package and ask if they could forward it to your home in California. They might as for some money for shipping costs but probably not. Hotels are constantly shipping stuff that people left in their rooms.

The plan has a lot of steps, but they can all be done over the phone and shouldn't take all that much time. Something could go wrong but then your only out the twenty or forty dollars you spent on the spores.

my advice is to ask a friend in a different state to buy the syringes and ship them to you. it'd double your shipping costs, but shipping a syringe should only be a couple dollars.

by the way, has anyone tried the method above for shipping to a hotel? that'd be a good way to order seeds or pharms?
