I want to grow shrooms very very veery badly!! I want to use them for personal use, because i love shrooms, but have no idea how to grow them. I have looked at a few websites and have found mushrooms kits but i need help on which one to pick and how to grow the shit!!

Should i grow them in my closet?? which is my own closet that no one goes into. or should i grow them in the forest?


PLEEEEEEEEEEEEZ HELP my budget is $40!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get one syringe.
walmart has 1/2 pint canning jars for 13.48
brown rice powder is couple bucks so....vermiculite was 8.00 for 5 lbs. can get half that amount.

15+14+4=33

then go to shroomery.org and follow the pf tek recipe. that should get you enough to get started. dont think i forgot anything.

also there are other ways to make a cheap terrarium for fruiting aside from the aquarium, so dont let that deter you.

do the research and have patience. its hard but i believe "with great effort comes great rewards"

hey bud this is your link Shroomery - Simple Cubensis Growing Technique follow this guide perfectly - by your spores from lil' shop of spores- they are far better company than spores 101. this works Ive done it. texis strain from lil' shop of spores pinned mushrooms in 2 and a half weeks!!!!good luck

cant say a word about lilshop of spores as i have no info and can only speak from exp.

one of the reasons i went with spores 101 was that they had the most variety IN STOCK were the other 2 sites listed didnt have them in stock or didnt have what i wanted at all.

also 101 seems to be the cheapest. i would say go either way. you now have atleast 2 recommend sites to order from and that more than what you started with.

alright guys well i just bought spores for $15.00 i got GOLDEN TEACHER. Now would this work i got this off growing mushrooms for dummies.

Supplies

1-dozen 1/2 pint jars-tapered mouth with rings and lids ($10-$12 Walmart or most Grocery Stores)
1-bag of vermiculite (Walmart or most gardening centers $3)
1-bag of pearlite (Walmart or most gardening centers $3)*
2- 14oz bag of Mahatma Brown Rice (Walmart or most any grocery store $1 each)
3-cups water (you figure this one out)
1-spore syringe (Many web sites have available for around $10 each)
1-can of Lysol ($3.50)
1-roll of aliminum foil ($1.50)
Styrofoam Cooler ($4-$5)*
Spray bottle ($2)*
Anti-bacterial soap ($2)

Total cost $40 plus or minus a few dollars depending on the costs of a particular item in your area. It may look like alot but it's really not that much considering it's going to get you from point A to point B with out any more to buy and its only 10 items. Most all of these items are common easy to find items and you may have many of them already. The items marked with the star can be purchased later they are not needed in the initial set up of the project.

Yeah, you could grow some nice shrooms with all that. You don't need vermiculite and pearlite, just use the verm. If you looking to do a lot of this, you may consider making some liquid culture so you don't have to keep buying spores.

i've found making my own spore syringes is better than liquid or agar cultures.

i bought from thehawkseye.com a while ago, way cheaper back then.

ok guys!! i just got all the materials except for the spores!!! THERE ON THEIR WAY IN THE MAIL!!
Now i just heated up the vermiculite and brown rice in the oven, then i boiled water and mixed the vermiculite and brown rice in the oven, i mixed that shit with the boiled water, and made this clumpy crap.

THENNNNNNNNN i filled like 5 1/2 pint mason jars with the crap and left a half inch at the top...

thennnnnnnn i put a sheet of tinfoil on the top and pushed it down so there is a little pool where i can put some vermiculite that was also cooked in the oven. I put the vermiculite that was cooked in the oven by itself i put that on each little pool in the mason jar. So EACH mason jar has crap filled up to a half inch less from the top. aND I PUT THE VERMICULITE in the pool on top of the foil.
Then i put on the mason jar cover and put on the seal and sealed em tight.

SO I HOPE I DID EVERYTHIGN RIGHT!!
