I love this show, no way I could eat 1/4 of some of the things this guy seeks out, but it would be so cool to be able to travel and try some of the restaurants and foods he gets to... if only I could be super rich!

Anyways, I was watching an episode where he is in China and goes to a village that is one of the largest mushroom producers in the country. They do it all by hand, they mix the spoors into a fert mix (can't remember what it was or if they said what it was) and then take a thick plastic bag with holes at both ends, they stuff it full of the Fert mix tie off the ends so it pinches but leave a hole about the size of a tennis ball (the bags are a diameter a little bigger than a football, almost shaped like one with holes at both ends) this is were the mushrooms eventually grow out of. They then take it over to a bunch of huts where they are stored and grown. It was very cool to see and when I saw it I thought about this section of the forum.

Anyways I've never grown mushrooms of any kind but seeing as how this is one of the biggest topics in this section I was wondering if this is something common or something that could make for a good method for grow shrooms if one was thinking about it?

those arent shrooms dumbass their just regular mushrooms that u can buy at the store.

Shrooms don't grow in dark, humid places, in ferts? Shrooms are different to all other mushrooms how?

If I am such a dumbass please enlighten me....

your not a dumb ass you can probably grow "shrooms" exactly tthe same as you do musrooms for food maybe a different medium but a mushroom is still just a fucking mushroom just like a pot plant is still just a fucking plant

I was about 95% sure they are grown the same way (as in the species not a particular strain) that is why I wondered if this is a commonly used method.
