For my first time i want to reach the second plateau and according to the dxm cal at this site http://www.dextroverse.org/whatis.html i am to drink 5.7 oz if it is robotussen max strength cough and cold weighting at 175 and you are saying i should drink max 4oz. I don't know if i agree. any one else think 5.7 oz is dangerous?

I'll bet those of you who criticize have no idea what shamanism is. Why do you criticize what you don't understand? Now this post doesn't sound like anything a priest would condone, but a priest is a Catholic Christian, NOT a shaman. If you want to understand shamanism, read Daniel Pinchbeck's book Breaking Open the Head or Martin Ball's books Mushroom Wisdom, How Shamans Cultivate Spiritual Consciousness and Sage Spirit. You can find these and other books by these authors at Amazon.com or by ordering directly from the authors' web sites. Daniel Pinchbeck's are at http://www.breakingopenthehead.com (which includes a page called “What is Shamanism?” that explains a lot.) and Martin Ball's are at http://martinball.net . For those who don't read, Martin Ball has a series of videos at http://entheogenic.podomatic.com/ about the Entheogenic Evolution and shamanism that might help you have a better understanding. Martin also has a MySpace profile at http://www.myspace.com/mushroomwisdom which includes a blog post called “Getting well with Peyote” that is so beautiful, simple and true, it makes me grin and almost tear up. These are some great resources, but you need a shaman to show you what shamanism really is. It's like the difference between reading about a painting and actually seeing the painting for yourself.

Shamans have always used entheogens, be they "magic" (psilocybin) mushrooms, peyote, San Pedro and others that even include the most powerful one ever discovered - LSD. DXM is a mere shadow of LSD in many ways. It won't kill you (at or below 240mg- a dosage recommended when combined with marijuana ), because it's not made in somebody's garage like LSD. It also won't take you on a trip that even comes close to what LSD offers. So... if shamans have historically used LSD, then why would the use of DXM mixed with marijuana not be condoned?



Shamanism is the world's oldest religion, not just the worlds oldest surviving religion. We've been here a long, long time. Recent Western culture bases itself in the Age of Science and Reason, so anything that can't be quantified mathematically doesn't exist. Under that belief, Jesus wasn't the Son of God, so they've tossed out the only thing that makes them shine. What's left is an overly aggressive, alcohol and cocaine fueled culture that seeks to rape the world of resources. That even includes human lives. The ancient Aztecs and others used to practice human sacrifice. All modern cultures consider that practice barbaric and unenlightened, but that is ironic, since modern Western culture daily sacrifices it's best and brightest young minds for money. At least the Aztecs did it to appease the gods, not to expand their stock market portfolios. So who really is the unenlightened?



I know the kind of people who attack what is unfamiliar. Just like any other animal, humans are scared of what they don't understand. You're not hurting 'the shaman', you're making public fools of yourselves.



Shamans have been here since humans arrived in this cosmic aquarium, and they will be here until all have gone. Now continue your parade...
