hi guys.
alright, i ordered a small gt growkit from shayanashop. did everything like in the instructions, i've had the box for a little less than 3 weeks now. the white stuff (not sure what's the name.. mycelium?) is spreading reaaalllly slowly, but no sign of any pins yet. i mist everyday, the temps are from 20 - 23 degrees celsius. the substrate kinda looks like this - http://www.shroomery.org/forums/show...umber/13862034 (1st post 1st picture), except maybe i have a little more mycelium. so, uhh.. should i wait? or start from the beginning by pouring water in the substrate, wait 24 hrs for it to soak blah blah..
i want my shrooms!

You will not see pins in 3 weeks unless the mycelium was exceptionally happy.
You should wait untill all the food is white, it won't fruit before most of it is consumed.

deppending on the strain some pin faster than others,i see pins in 10 days most the time but i am really good at it and have to down to my own tek.last grow i yeilded over 4 pounds dry .if u have any Q hit me up IM me

I innoculated some cakes with the Cambodian on 8/18. They finally fully colizined and were put into fruiting a week ago. It took a LONGGG time! more than usual but that's probably because I innoculated the jars and left em on the counter at room temp so It might have taken longer. Hell I still have one jar that i wasn't able to fully innoculaze (only half) so inside the jar it's still not fully colonized. I got tired of waiting so I wrapped the jar with ducttape took the lid off and am just having the lil mushies grow outta the top, I feared if I birth'd it it would fall apart. But with these I've learned patience is key.

sounds like yr going to have a contam issue imo ,if yr brfcake isnt fully colinized take a spoon and take off the uncolinized portion,also yr suppsot to have yr jars in complete dark at 77 to 85f thats y it didnt finish,u told it to stop and fruit,or the substraight dryed.

it's just that i read a few comments in shayanashop homepage that it took 11 days from start to harvest. i was like wtf.

aahh makes sense, guess next time I'll throw em in a box or something.. I will note that I looked this morning and inside the jar that is half colonized thier is small traces of yellow in the myculim so I just pitched it.

uh guys, i ordered a ready-to-grow kit. just had to add water. no jars. just a growkit.

i never used a grow kit hell i won one off of spores 101 lol and turned into part of my other things i grow.and for the guy that sees yellow spots deppending on what u told me thats myc piss which is caused buy stress of myc,or u have bactilus, smelll the jar if it smells nasty get it gone. u can fight bac and i have done it and won b4 but if u have no idea what yr doing its pointless ,ill never do it again lol to much work.
