help identify this cacti

I've been doing research, trying to find out what type of cactus this is. I'm thinking it's a Saguaro, but not completely sure.

If it is a Saguaro, does it contain any psychoactive substances? I read that the seeds have psychoactive alkaloids but I don't know if the actual cactus contains any.

Anyway, thanks in advance, I'm a complete retard with cactus's

they're very hard to identify when they're not flowering.
actually, now that I think of it, it might be a Saguaro

Yea it probably is a saguaro.
Now I need to know if it has psychoactive substances

if it is a saguaro i read that it does contain mescaline. you should keep doing your research, i also read that they contain toxic alkaloids too!

Interesting. I'll definitely keep searching for more answers, especially about any toxic alkaloids. That's something I don't want to be tampering with...
