Low Cost humidifier for growing fungi and things requiring humidity.

List of ingredients
1 x 80mm PC Case fan. + screws
1 x cheap submersible pond mister
1 x empty Icecream tub

Tools
Knife
Soldering iron (optional - knife can do everything)

Step one is to melt or cut in the screw holes that will hold your fan to the tub's lid. I used a fan grille to make it easier.


Step two
Screw the fan in with a few screws so you can mark the position of the whole witha knife, then remove fan, and cut the hole.
Also cut a flap or spout on the far side of the lid, as pictured.


Step three
Screw fan back onto lid so that it blows into the tub when running.

Step four
Make a small cut in the side for the mist maker's cable halfway between the tho holes in the lid.


Step five
Place mist maker in tub and fill with 2" (5cm) water


Step 6
Put lid on and power on.


Camera is useless at capturing the vapour, but its strong and filled a rather large FC faster than the two shop bought humidifiers I had before. Also the only sound is the slight tinkle of the water inside the tub.


It pretty much looks like the spout form a boiling kettle. Except its a cold mist.
