So over here in the UK its mushroom season! I was wondering if anyone had any advice on finding and identifying, liberty caps in particular? I live about 5 minutes from a load of sheep and cattle fields, which im sure would be good for mushies.

First of all, never eat any mushroom you aren't 100% sure of. A lot of posionous mushrooms look like psychoactive species to the untrained eye. Read up on your mycology and be careful!

Research. Research research research. At the very least, take pictures of the mushrooms you think are liberties in different stages of their growth with a good quality camera and post it on here or the shroomery. There are deadly mushrooms that look almost identical to mushrooms that are edible. Don't take silly risks.

Spore prints are very handy and make identification a lot less stressful. They're easy to take, and I highly recommend you do it, for your own safety.

Don't listen to silly myths such as 'all psychedelic mushrooms bruise blue' or 'as long as it has a nipple on the cap, it's safe to eat' etc.

When you identify a mushroom and proceed to eat 100 of them, you will have fun. Oh yes you will.

Oh yeah, if it's your first time on shrooms, have a sitter if you can. I've seen experienced trippers eat 120 shrooms and it turned grim.

Cheers peeps. Iv done a little research and I'm gonna order a mushroom book off amazon.

So any advice on spore testing? I read you need to take sample on both black and White paper; but couldn't find anything that was step by step esq?!? I know how careful you gotta be when picking, had a mate that got real sick
, and I don't fancy dying I might post a few pick if and when I get em.

iv never had Libcaps. Last time I had mushies was in Amsterdam befor they wer made illegal, so upsetting
