Next friday I will be buying an 8th of shrooms. I don't know the strain or anything like that. My main question is, how much do I take to receive a good first trip? I don't want just a body high I want visuals. Moderate visuals(colors,kaleidoscope). Possibly hallucinations.
Don't get me wrong I don't want to take too much, to where I can't handle it. I just want a really fun, interesting trip for my first time.

So the cusp it, how much do I take to get a moderate visual experience? Say its the weakest strain of shrooms, how much do I take? Say it's the strogest, how much do I take? Say its average how much do I take?

Also I have taken DXM(cough medicine) a few times and did not like it at all. Is the experience of shrooms similar to that of cough syrup?

Ease into shrooms.you CAN eat too many,it's not pleasant ie.moderation your first time. Eat about 1 moderate sized shroom at first,they may come on slow,eat another in about 2hrs..Judge where you are at in about half an hour after that.Don't do them for 12 hours straight your first time out.You will feel yukky the next day.Fresh is best.Great experience,recommended to all.

Take 5 grams, don't just take my word for it, Terrence Mckenna also swore by it.
Tryptamines tend to be gentle the first time around... it would be the best time to push it, provided you have done something like LSD before.

I would suggest golden teachers as a first type of shroom, if you get any choice... It can be very gentle, My first dose of that was about 4g, and I've had harder trips off 1g TK.

my first trip i did a half 1/8th and it was pretty good, but yeah i would def recommend taking more than that. i had some cool visuals when i went to bed in a real dark room, but didnt really trip that hard. i would eat the whole 8th if i were you. cause ANC is right, tryptamines do take a little bit to settle in the first time. i was afraid they wouldnt work at all, and then i started to get the yawns(im assuming that when your body is starting to give up against fighting off the poison it is recognizing, i.e. the shrooms) and then i started to feel real good in a half hour or so after that. i understand taking it slow the first time, but just be in a place where you're comfortable and feel safe and take the whole 8th, you'll have a much better time. if you like the psychedelic trip, take some acid. acid is way more fun(my opinion) than shrooms, and its a lot cheaper.

each time i ingested shrooms, i geeked my ass off...idk why..........i got tons of visuals and a good body high...smoke some bowls when on shrooms

Id suggest 1.8-2.4 2.4 your full on tripping balls and 1.8 your starting to trip balls

I remember the last time i tripped on shrooms. It was me and one of my friends... We kept on laughing.. I couldn't stop laughing man.. in fact. That next morning??!!.. I cheeks were sore.. and my stomach had an ache to it. But it was from all the laughing.. for about 20 minutes straight. ehehehe...

I wish I new the hookup on some paper around here... I love trippin on acid.

thats the way to do it. i tripped shrooms one by myself in the dorm rooms and it was sooooo intense. i ate them around 10:00PM so they didnt kick in till 10:45 and my roommate, who didnt do drugs, had no clue i was tripping, but boy was i. if you want the most intense visuals and patterned noises in your head, do that. i only ate a half eighth that time and it was awesome. but yeah go big or go home. i know a half eighth isnt going too big, but i agree with the statement big time. if i couldve gone back and done more then i definitely wouldve.

One of my first shroom trips, I went fishing. It was absolutely hysterical, to be standing in the river...tripping my ass off. It was a safe enough place to trip, we were out in the woods for the weekend, and nobody was going to have to drive anywhere.
