I'm curious to know some ways in which people like to potentiate opiates.

I've known many people who use benzos like valium and xanax to great effect.

I've also heard of OTC sleeping pills/benedryl (diphenhydramine) being used and even DXM is supposedly used to potentiate the effects of opiates.

The reasons for potentiating opiates is obvious, I'm just curious as to whether or not the serious opiate users on this forum potentiate their stuff or use it alone. If so whats your favorite/most effective way and why?

As the resident junky, I prefer benedryl or white grapefruit juice. It works just as well as Benzos but is far less lethal, especially when IVing. I don't smoke weed but that is another very effective potentiator. Hash brownies give the closest high to narcotics, are cheaper, and as safe as white grapefruit juice.

back in the day i used to mix a perk an OC20 and a k-pin, toss em all in the pill crusher and do em all at once, that was a weird kind of fucked up

The only thing i like mixing with Benzos is speed. Xanax+Ritalin= pharmaspeedball. Weed+coffee= hippie speedball. Oxycontin+MS Contin is another very enjoyable cocktail. We were also doing "Death Rides" which are a mixture of cocaine+nice clean crystal+Fentanyl soaked Oxycontin.
It was terrifyingly enjoyable.

while i stayed away from the stronger side i quite often do a CWE on codeine or dyhydrocodeine i bought a some codiene bout an hour ago to do tonight
i always buy a carton of grapefruit juice to drink before hand benedrill works quite well too
then i have some beers and the codeine its nice i get pretty toasted but i wouldnt recomend doing this very often tho

im not a scientist but they way i understand it grapefruit juice inhibits an enzyme CYP3A4. this enzyme works as a natural buffer against drugs taken orally so a galss of grapefruit juice taken up to 24 hours before hand will increase the amount of the drug that your body absorbs. so with codeine it makes the same amount you take up to 50% stronger (you absorb more of the same amount taken)

i think thats the jist of it. just be carefull when trying it and always check you normal prescriptions before drinking grapefruit juice with them

Yeah, I've used xanax and valiums before and they really do the trick but you're right, the margin of safety really seems to decrease. Benedryl seems like a good bet because it is legal, cheap and always avalible. Do you just pop or chew up a few of them before you shoot up?

How much more faded do you actually feel?

Does white grapefruit juice have more effective properties then regular pink kind?

Oh wow, I never knew that. So say you drank it with Benedryl, would it be the same 50% or is it different with every drug?
