If im thinking about the same thing you are it's a new hapless way for kids to get a "high". Bassically the version i heard was that one would take a piece of poop roll it up in a ball and place it in his or hers nose. Bassically the methane from the poop gives you a "high". Bassically i think it is stupid, being young myself i feel if they ate that desperate why not buy weed. It's much more effective, better for your health, and less humiliating.
