Last night I tried salvia raw leaf(not the extract) we did it out of my buddys bowl with a torch lighter. After doing about 2 bowls each we just laid back and listened to music. The high lasted about 2 hours, slowly decreased high after about 35 minutes. My question is if the high lasted so long, was i high off the salvia or was it the weed res left over in the bowl that got me high?

I'd say it was likely the res. From what I understand the reason there is 5X, 10X, 20X, 50X, is because such a small amount of material won't be effective. So they would take 50Gs of salvia leaf, extraction, replace the entire extract onto 1G of salvia leaf to get 50X. So 2 bowls of leaf would be like smoking 2/5 a bowl of 5X, which is not likely to get you to threshold dose.

iuno... every once in a while I do hear about people having weird reaction to salvia (which is semi-acceptable, after all, it is an atypical psychedelic).. like I have really long trips on it, I had a 58 minute trip.. yeah it's out of the ordinary, but for some reason I trip a long time.. Maybe it was the weed mixed with the salvia

salvia would have you trippin for 10 20 mins top so i say it was the resin

Well.. sage (Salvia officinalis) does contain Thujone (think absinthe).. and I would not be surprised if Salvia divinorum contained it as well.. which would, to some extent, potentiate smoking weed.

i dunno about you but when i trip off it i get a little buzz for like the next 1/2 hour to hour after im done tripping. the actual tripping for me lasts about 20 minutes. maybe a little longer. but thats off of like 10-30x.
