I am hoping to grow shrooms from composted hay and horse manure, I planned on sterilizing the shit in jars and then usin the spore syringe to inoculate them, then im gonna mix in colonized manure with uncolonized in layers in a big covered bucket outdoors. has anyone done anything similar with success?

I use to grow mushrooms, I grew B+, Penis Envy, Creeper (something) and a few others. Outside mush growing is hard, humidity and temps need to be just right...your best bet is to go on ebay, buy some inoculation grow bags, get your syringes, inoculate, put bag in closet, wait til it gets white, very little light hardly any for about 2 weeks, pull out and set on dresser or something, doesn't need much sunlight, hell just pulling them out only for a few mins, mushrooms get all the light they need (technically) remeber to be very very sterile and watch out for green mold or black mold very bad joojoo...any specific strain questions. harvest or whatever just ask...I pulled a couple oz from grow bags, after picking is nice they regen just need to reseal bag and stay very sterile. phew kk time to go toke some more
