what the best "strain" of shroom for a new grower?

Any P. Cebensis strain will be easy to grow for a beginner.

if your next question is "what is the best P. Cubensis strain" the answer is there is no best. They are all pretty much the same, some just being slightly more visual than others. A reasonable comparison would be comparing two different strain of mushrooms that are not from the same species.


To answer the other question, grow kits are a waste of money and they take the fun out of growing. Your mushrooms probably won't be anymore potent, they may be slightly faster in growing, and the amount you can grow is limited to the space of your fruiting chamber (which in grow kits is pretty damn small) so your yield will probably be lower.

Stick to jars, learn some good techniques, have fun and safe tripping.

I reccommend GT, pretty visual and easy to grow. and like 420G said, kits are a waste of money..buy a :

polyfil 4$
2X 64 qt clear rubbermaid 5$
perilite 4$
Oust air & surface 4$
alcohol 3$
Spray bottle 2$

for very proffessional looking Fruiting Chamber, glove box and jars.. a grand total of 103 dollars. some kits are way more expensive than that and once you run out you have to buy everyhing again. if you do ityour own all you will need to buy again is perilite and rice.

thanks for all the advice. how many harvest can you get out of 1 syringe of spoors? does it matter how many ml you have?

Search Brown rice flower cakes. Buy B + spores. In right growing conditions 1 syring will nock around13 jars and each can get 2 or 3 flushes, sometimes more. U will average a qp or so. Done correctly they grow mad Bro.

Make all your own shit. Glove box is a breeze to build as is a magnetic stirrer if u plan to do liquid culture later.

I second that, B+ or Z-strain are great places to start.
