I personally think EDC isn't a good demonstration of the LA rave scene, but yes most clubbers who attend massive's eat pills they believe are MDMA when in fact they are amphetamines but mostly piperazine filling... lol

i know EDC wasnt represenative of the "rave scene", thats not why i attended. i attended for the great lineup and got everything i expected and more(except from daedelus and oakenfold....fucking hacks!)

and im not much of an underground raver anymore these days anyways. dont get me wrong....im no fucking clubkid, ive just seen enough struggling local DJ's for 3 lifetimes and only like to spend my dancefloor time listening to world-class talent.

then youve got the people who say MDA and MDMA are natural substances because they are derived from safrole which is derived from sassafrass. thats like calling LSD natural because it starts out as rye.

There are also people who believe that LSD is in Ergot. Safrole isomerized into isosafrole then oxidized into MDP2P then threw reductive amination is converted into MDA. MDMA is then threw a long and tedious process made from MDA into MDMA. So MDMA is far from natural. MDA is arguably semi-synthetic though.
