i was in the woods today and i came across some bloodroot and i remembered that one of my friends that studys plants said you can dry it out and grind it into a dip and its like opium
i would like to know if anyone else has heard of this because this stuff is every where in the woods |

Now bloodroot is actually toxic (sanguinarine is the toxin released), BUT bloodroot produces morphine-like benzylisoquinoline alkaloids. So it is plausible that it could have opiate-like effects without being an opiate per se. Beyond this, I don't have any information pointing towards it being used recreationally. me to it has been a long road my brain is tired. i have heard kratom contains opiate like alkaloids and is used by people detoxing off heroin and such i enjoy opiates theres just too many negatives to enjoy frequently.
