Ok can someone with a lil experince inform me on what is the best way in germ. poppy seeds... I will be useing store bought seed...So i know the odds are against me

I have a few pots of em growing on my deck and the way i planted em was just tossing a bunch on the top layer of soil. make sure it doesnt dry out. the seeds will pop out and the roots will dig themselves into the soil, you could always put a very thin layer of soil over them. it takes a while too. I have too many seedlings right now but im too lazy to thin em out

So they dont need to have like super cool weather...(texas) never really that cold..

Thats a little tougher, just try to keep em in a spot with more shade than sun. at least 3 hours direct is good.

what kind of soil i read a loamy soil but that turns to a powdery sandy type when it dries out a lil and my natural soil is crumbly clay

im just using some 'organic' MG soil with about 40% perlite mixed in. I use a little grow big when I water and theyre looking good, ill post some pics up later

Heres the pics. I actuallly went and thinned em out a bit, thanks to you i actually paid attention to em. i usually just water em and dont look at em for a few days. just really seeing if theyll actually grow
