So I plan on ordering a San Pedro Cacti and extracting it for mescaline and I just had a few questions I hope some people could anwser for me

1. What would be an average length of a cactus I would need for 1 trip. (I know the mescaline can vary greatly from cacti to cacti but what would be an average length... 6inchs or 12 inchs?)

2. I heard you can peel the skin off the cactus and then dry the skin to a powder and turn it into tea. Could someone go alittle further detail on this process?

3. Does Mescaline show up on a common urine test (i'm guessing it doesn't but you never know!)

1) In reference to San Pedro dosing:
Trichocerus pachanoi - 300 mg / 15 to 100 grams grams dried material (.3% - 2.0%)

^use a scale to determine the weight, I don't have an inches conversion.

2) I would imagine the skin has a certain % of Mescaline present, but I am almost certain that people dry, grind, and then make a tea out of the actual cactus (de-skinned)

3) No. It is possible to test for, but is not on the NIDA-5 (standard drug pannel) nor the extended drug screen.

On the 5 Pannel drug screen:
Cannabinoids
Cocaine
Amphetamines
Opiates
PCP

There is a 10 and a 12 pannel drug screen, neither which contain mescaline.

For shits and giggles, mescaline can be detected in urine for 2-3 days.

erowid has some good prep methods. most of the mescaline is in the green just under the waxy skin. it's good to freeze and thaw the cutting a few times to rupture the cell walls before trying to extract the mescaline. a 6" trip will be mild and 12" strong. san pedro is easy to grow, you should get a cutting to plant, they grow fast.

Didn't you do an acid-base extraction for DMT? You could do a similar process for mescaline (may be a little difficult, but you've got some experience, erowid, and us for assistance). I'm not sure on the exact extraction off hand, but I could find you a good one if you choose this route.

i just cut like maybe 1/2cm off the outer skin or until its soft coz most of the mescaline

Of course I use erowid... though they don't have a lot of info. on Mescaline, San Pedro, or Peyote. I would do a A/B extraction but I just don't wanna risk screwing up and losing product when there is a safer way. I also wanted to do Mescaline for spiritual purposes just because I know it has been used for thousands of years by Native American tribes to go on "vision quests" thanks for the offer though . Thanks again for the info. Shepj like always your a gold mine of info. when it comes to hallucinogens.

Thanks for the pictures Bud.... i'm still alittle confused on what you do after you remove the skin. Do you dry the skin out and break it into powder and drink the powder?

Yeah, if you are into the actual spiritual and/or introspective aspect of mescaline then the traditional way (tea) is the way to go. I like tripping and seeing funny shit in funny colors as much as I like learning new things about myself, so I would lean towards the extraction.. but, to each his own and I respect where you are coming from.
