My brazilian friend told me they used to drink a tea out of nutmeg. he said you have to put it in hot water for a couple of hours but attention the active substances are destroyed when you reach or pass the 80°C which would be 176°F. About 10 Nutmeg will get you a 12h to 3 day trip with a couple of nice visions and stufff. You have to drink the tea while still warm. thats all i can remember 'bout that.

Iv done nut meg b4. The process of eating it is disgusting but i was able to down like 7 table spoons of the stuff! It took like 6 hours to kick in and when it did man was i high. I was not hallucinating or any thing but it was like a very intense weed high, Very intense! For a while when i was in 9th grade i used to eat the stuff in school to get a buzz, but this was only like 2 times. I soon realized that smoking weed was much more pleasurable

It is close, preferably someone wouldn't use the essential oils from nutmeg (as there are better sources), but it could be done.

I do not recommend nutmeg overall. marijuana is far more pleasant and probably safer when eaten, since from what I have read online, nutmeg contains safrole, a carcinogen that is bad for the liver. Nutmeg must not be eaten with other MAO inhibitors.

I don't know that a safety issue is really present with nutmeg (atleast not from the safrole). So I read, nutmeg contains in the vicinity of 6% Safrole, where as it contains 60-80% d-camphene (which if it is as much like camphor as I think it is, then here is where you're looking for toxicity issues).

But your initial point of nutmeg potentially being toxic still stands.
