so ive been doing alot of research about growing some shrooms... ive finally decided to get a couple or spore syringes of psilocybe cubensis from thehawkseye.com... now ive seen a couple of these bags with self sealing innocultion points in them should i get one of these bags instead of using the pf tek method. and if i do get one of those bags do i just let it all colonize and then put it in a rubber maid with light cyle to start fruiting or what. Also if thats the way to go wheres a good site to buy from and exactly what mixture of substrate should i get.

personally i wouldnt go pftek bro, id go with grains...you can fruit them in the bag, but that might not be the most efficient for you...not trying to sound like a dick im just trying to help but if your asking these questions you probably didnt do ENOUGH research...go to mycotopia or shroomtalk and just look through these journals and teks and just study study study, study it to where you wont have to go back to check your info read it til you can do the steps in your head...that would be the best thing to do, thats what i did

Start with the pf tek or you will get contams. Im guessing you dont have a pressure boiler either, so your best bet is still pf tek.

the best advice is always "keep reading and follow the instructions". if you're asking for help, you haven't read enough.

I've been growing for almost a decade, my advice is the same as above

read a tek, follow the instructions. buy everything, shorting on supplies isn't a good way to start. follow the instructions, did I mention that following the instructions is helpful.

so you both are saying not to go with the the grow bags that cant be contaminated at all (basially) and that i should buy all the extra supplies and grow mediums and go tek, i just think the bags would be way better but if you guys are sayin no them ill go that way cause iv never grown b4 like i said

bags are expensive. one grow bag is around twenty dollars has about a lb of grain in it. twenty dollars will buy you 25+ lbs of rye berries. If you get a syringe you only need 2-3 cc's in the bag and a stringe is 10-12 cc's usually. I suggest getting rye berries and wide mouth qt jars which are around 10 dollars for a dozen. With those supplies you can make ten times the amount then one grow bag. No one is bashing you but you clearly didn't read enough into it. Also once your grains are colonized you need to fruit them which is a whole nother process in itself.
