Quick question, whats wormwood? aparently its in absynth and is a "Hallucinogenic" but i was also told that was bullshit.

what do you guys know about wormwood?

Many plants in the genus Artemisia are known as “wormwood,” although most people use the term specifically to refer to A. absinthium or grande wormwood, the primary active ingredient in absinthe. This variety of wormwood has been used medicinally in a variety of ways for centuries, and despite concerns about its health risks, few studies have really examined the plant and its compounds closely.

you would need a very high amount of Thujone (active component in wormwood) to hallucinate, most of the absinthe has very little. So not likely you'll trip off of it.

Wormwood is "Artemisia absinthium"
Hence, where we get Absinthe.

Funny, I wanted to mention that Lucid is the only Absinthe in the US that is worth the money.



It has Grande Wormwood (it is the only one I have found to have it so far). All of the others I have tried have given me a good buzz, but this one gives me a great buzz. No hallucinations, but a good feeling of well being.

lol.. Lucid huh? "Grande Wormwood" is just a pretty term for Wormwood, look at their Species name. Lucid has a terribly low Thujone amount.. 10mg/kg! That is horrible! Try some Absinthe King Gold at 100mg/kg, the equivalent of ten shots of lucid (thujone wise). Or try Zele Premium (111mg thujone).

I don't order anything off the internet and that amount of thujone is not legal in my area. Lucid is though, so that is why I say it is the only absinthe in America I will buy. If I was in France that would be a different story completely!

I will one day try an absinthe with that much active ingredient.

We're on a marijuana website.. and the amount of thujone isn't legal? Something a lil striking to me. lol. Honestly man, they're not going to bring your bottle to a gc/ms lab and test it.. worth buying. But I get your point.
