Ok, so I was wondering if anyone knew another seperating apparatus I could use for seperating the Naptha from the other stuff when using a Acid/Base extraction called "DMT for the Masses" I don't really have the money for a seperatory funnel so is there anything else I would be able to use? P.S. I know I should post this on "DMT-Nexus.com" but no one ever anwsers any of my questions there .

Freezer bag, a pair of scissors and your index finger + thumb.

Could get more creative like doin' the sep in a 2 liter bottle, and putting a hole in the cap. cover the hole with tape, invert and remove tape to remove layers later.

I've used the freezer bag idea for some stuff, but I still prefer a glass container of some kind.

I always just used a syringe to do shit like that..

Ok... well I also wondered if the DMT had to be in a powder or coudl it still be in little strands. I just put some Root Bark in a coffee grinder and all the powder stuck to the side and there was still strands of bark left... Would it just be better to use a blender

Generally speaking, the more fine a substance is, the easier the solvents do their work.. although, it strikes me as awkward that when making ayahuasca you're actually not supposed to grind the root, but pound it or pulp it if you will.

To be honest though, I don't think strands will make much of a difference as long as your technique is good with mixing solvents and the actual extraction process.

Im using a Acid/Base extraction of Naptha and Lye... will those work fine

Well, to be an ass, technically naptha isn't an acid or a base. The extraction you are doing is a polar/non-polar extraction. And yes, to answer your question those will work.

heh it's no big deal man.. this isn't a DMT site either, so it's not expected to be one's expertise. If you need any advice or help I will do my best to do so.

my first batch is drying now and i was worried when i didn't see crystals, but now the beads of water are crystalizing! I used a turkey baster. Good percision!
