if you took some seeds and put them in some warm everclear, then let it evaporate. would you get a smokable opium in the end?

Yes with the right type of poppy seeds, using lemon juice ( or something acidic ) and agitation. You can create a hell whole of a mixture. I know 2 people who have done it, they didint enjoy it just many hours of confused and un-enjoyable buzz. its not worth it apparently. And it is literally a cheap high.

Well yes, the supermarket might have the right type in stock. like i said some of them are inert and some have the right alkaloids - some guy previously stated them. dont do it though wont be fun.

FYI poppy seed tea is very dangerous http://www.poppyseedtea.com/ Its very hard to judge the dosage! I would recomend grinding up dried P. somaniferum instead. I purchase dried seed pods from ebay on a monthly basis. Sure the poppy straw teas does taste like ass but its a very euphoric body high that last hours. Grind up 6 medium sized pods and boil them for about 15 minutes. Then strain off the mash and add lemon, cinimon, and sugar to taste. Wait atleast an hour b4 desciding to dose more! Because of the raw opiates some nausia will occure, a little cannibus will fix that.

SWIMs made some alchy based extract w/ an adjusted ph and a long and lengthy low temp drying process. He never tried smoking it but he found ingesting it to be unpredictable. There are plenty of recipes for poppy puddy thats aperently much better for smoking. SWIM told me he even tried growing his on tazzy alkaloids poppys but they dwarfed on him.... pencil eraser sized pods in the center of beutifull white/purple flowers... odly they came from golfball sized pods... Yeah I laughed at SWIM's bad luck
