So, i am well aware that the "optimum" temperature fo shrooms is somewhere near 80-85 F. However, if i was inclined to grow the shrooms without supplying that extra heat, would they grow in temps of around say 65-75 F????or would i be wasting my time with an insufficient growing enviroment?

80-85 F for incubation
once your cakes or casings are colonized you put them into your fruiting chamber which should be around 70F

ahh ok thx for clearing that up. Is there any low temps that i should be worried about because, while im sure it will not be too cold and certainly not near freezing, i am worried that it may get chilly because i do not have the heat one all day and winters comin up

They would fruit at low temps, but you have to grow the myc at 80 to 85
