I dropped acid Saturday morning. First time in 15+ years. Mighty foolish to take the chance since I'm on probation, but I believed the myth that it's only detectable by spinal tap. I got smacked with a random UA yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) and now I'm freaking out scared I'm going to get a hot test.

I only took one hit and didn't even trip hard, by far the least potent hit I ever took in my life. I haven't done anything else in the last 6 months. I'm not even on probation for drug charges, but I doubt that matters. I just assume they are going to run the full gamut of tests on my cup.

There's a lot of conflicting info out there on this subject. I even took mental note of the lab my specimen is being sent to, checked out their site and LSD isn't even listed as a drug they test for. Still, that's not enough for me to go on.

Go ahead and call me stupid. I can take it. What I'm curious to know is if anyone here has been subjected to lab UA tests (not dip stick tests) shortly after dropping acid? Did you or your friend pass or fail? I cannot seem to find any cases of people who have failed for acid, save for one dude who was in the Air Force. Am I being unjustifiably paranoid?

what i've heard that lsd can only be found in spinal tap, and when my friend was on probation for dui, when he had to piss test they only did one drug at a time, like weed one week, alcohol the next, coke the next and so on and so forth, but that is here and im sure that different places have different policies, sorry if i haven't helped but im like 95% sure you can only detect acid from a spinal tap

found this, it is possible to test for BUT it is a very difficult and expensive test to run and is very uncommon. Unless there is a particular reason to be looking for it, as in the case of an autopsy...it is extremely unlikely that most people will ever run into this test. It is not one of the SAMHSA-5 standardly tested for in the basic drug test, nor is it included in the extended drug tests. I appreciate your story. It certainly adds a new dimension to the whole picture. Based on the information I've been reading (both scientific and non) LSD can be tested for based on it's metabolites for a number of days after ingestion. The only problem is each site varies in their estimations of how long. 1-3 seems to be average but some claim as little as 8 hours and as many as 7 days. I'm fairly certain the spinal tap test is a complete myth.

It has virtualy no physical effects on the body... which helps make it hard to detect.

There have been a number of advances in it's detection in the last 10 years. They used to know next to nothing about how the body metabolizes it, so they would look for the unaltered drug itself. Nowadays they know what the metabolites are. Those metabolites are thankfully not detectable by any instant test (assay) they are detectable by radio and gas spectronomy. I think the only thing I have going for me is the unverifiable fact that LSD is such a minor problem in comparison to other abused drugs they rarely bother looking for it without a reason to. In my case, they have no reason. I have no drug history on record. Crossing my fingers!

Was watching NCIS one day and ducky said its almost impossible to detect even at 12 hours!!!!!!!The duck dont lie!!!!!!!!!!!
