Ok so first off i got a b+ syringe online and did everything with the mayson jars with brown rice. I just put it in a blender to make my own BRF . The jars are over a month old now and the two i have are only half cononised and dont seem to be growing anymore. I also got some pre steralized horse dung with anther srying and injected all 12 jars. thos are over a week oold now and dont show any singh of groth. Growing shrooms are new to me, ive only gown W/W for the paft few years. so any help would be great, thanks

whats your temps? are they in complete darkness? how often are u looking at them? pix? where did you get your spores? sorry but it might help......EDIT: did you mix verm with the brf??

i try to keep the temps at about 80 i have them floating in a 10g fishtank in a rubermaid tub with a heater in the water. I have a towel over it but the sides dont get cover so some light probly gets in. And i did mix in verm 2 parts verm to 1 part BRF. I try to check them evry few days but its hard not to look evryay lol. Should i black out the tank so it is complety dark?I would have to check were i got my spores but i got the sites from recmendasion from this site.

ok first of all your temps are good but I don't know about the fish tank thing. I use a tub in tub incubator. Buy two tubs of equal size. the bottom tub you put the fish tank heater in and fill about 3-4" above the heater. Then take the other tub and sit it down in the water and put your jars in the top tub. When incubating you need to have your jars in the dark. Your brf/verm mix is right and I would stick with that for now. For a first time grower I wouldn't mess with the poo. Are you following the PF Tek? If not look it is a great tek to start with. I have never purchased anything from the spore store, I always buy from ralphsters or the good spore. Just curious is it only poo in the jars or is it mixed with something else?
