Ijust read that in 2005 they passed a drug law that outlawed any kind of posession of psilocybe mushrooms and made it federal class A schedule. But if that is true, how the hell can people buy the spores to cultivsate?

how do people buy seeds if it's illegal to grow in the states? yes I am aware of medical growers...

I found distributors of cultivation kits in the U.S.

The mushroom itself is not what is illegal. It is the psilocybin contained within.
The spores do not contain any psilocybin thus they are legal to posses/distribute.
Though in cali/idaho/georgia spores are illegal as well.

I'm not sure about possesion.

But as for the cultivation of psilocybin containing mushrooms.....
that's a class A felony with a 7 year prison sentence and an unlimited fine tacked on it in which case they usually sieze the property the mushrooms were found on and all assets the land/homeowner may have.

Man, I was just really contemplating buying a kit. But now that I know that I think i'll just pay for my own. $25 for an eighth and $120 an oz. That seems kind of inexpensive for all the trouble its worth.

In Florida Mushrooms are pretty much legal, at least in lower quantities.
