Default Planning on DR150 tent but concerns about ventilation for 1000w
So far the main part of the plan is getting the Secret Jardin DR150 Dark Room:

http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc....RDR150&eq=&Tp=

and a 1000w digital HPS

Main questions and concerns:

I was thinking of a 8" coolable reflector with an 8" inline fan. BUT the DR150 specifications say the adjustable ports only go up to 6.7" =/

Any math whiz know a formula for how much CFM is lost if I have an 8"-6" duct conversion ?

Should I just go for the highest possible output 6" Inline + 6" coolable reflector?

I would like to make some of the do-it-yourself carbon bag filters and stuff them in the exhaust portion of the duct so I'm sure that'll reduce CFM =/

im gonna get a dr150 later today. i have a hydrofarm hood with 6" vents and a 6" vortex fan. im also running a 1000w hps and digital ballast. i have no cooling problems at all in my closet which is smaller than the dr150. so you shouldn't have any probs with heat.

SWEEET lol, i was worried it might not work without an AC or somethin, ty, do you have a carbon scrubber on it or just stright exhaust? i gotta do odor control too and ozone isn't an option since i've got asthma and its very bad for asthma.

i have the intake and exhaust for the hood completely seperated, and my hood is sealed with a glass pain. so the smell doesn't come out. i have a scrubber attached to another fan that cleans the air in the tent, plus some ona blocks so it smells pretty fresh.
