Hi(gh) everyone!

I have been musing over my next "upgraded" grow room. I currently have a smaller grow (about 5x7) and ready to step up to a 12x14 room I have available.

I have the electricty, water, drainage, exhaust, Co2, odor etc etc figured out but need some specific advice on lamp selection and layout.

Initially, I thought about 4 1000w HPS on centered 6 ft light movers moving randomly in the 12ft width of the room. The sq footage of the room though would lend itself maybe to 3 1000w lights but I want to do a grow with 4 large plants (6 footers) with 4 behind it in a 2 week harvest rotation. I plan about a 4 -5 week veg (thats actual veg, not clone/rooting time) and a 8 - 10 week Flowering depending on the strain. So, there will be 16 plants in the flowering room all in different stages of flowering and size.

OK, heres the deal....

I could do 4 - 600w (or 4 of the new 750w) instead of the 4 - 1000w or some configuration with smaller lights. This would give me maximum coverage and possibly less total wattage, thus lower electrical usage.

Also, what about the need for adding some blue lighting and HOW could that be done and to supplement the HPS and not end up with a bunch of smaller MH going as well.

I would appreciate some help from a veteran on the design of the room and selection of the lighting
