Default Building 50'x50' storage shed for SUPER GROW
....Just kidding!

I'm building an 8'x8' storage shed out of particle board and some sheet metal roofing. I plan on putting some cheap flooring over the sub floor made of particle board. I was just going to use drywall screws and latex caulking to seal this up. I was going to have some white/reflective wall paper as a weather proofing.

Is particle board too cheap? Does anyone have any ideas as to what might go wrong with this?

All airflow and temperature, ect. are going to be very exact. Does particle board allow for a humidity controlled environment?

Any additional thoughts would be appreciated!

You mean like a polyurethane on the outside, and a grow room wall paper on the inside?

do the outside with TnG and you will be all set....the particle board soaks up moisture...it's okay for woodwork inside like cabinetry but....not exterior walls

I am using polyurethane for an overall seal aswell as a airtight barrier,

Here's a pic I made afew days ago you can see the roll I am using as vapor/airtight barrier this is ontop of the insulation and will be covered when i board the room out with ply wood today, I will be using mylar to promote growth and protect wood from moisture etc

Don't know how much effort you want to put into your shed, but a rockwool insulator would be awesome. Keep the heat in, and the cold out. Or vice versa. : )

Stable temp = better harvest.

As much effort is necessary. Obviously, I have no idea how to build. If anyone wants to spell it out to me, that would be kool. Cost efficiency is my second concern. Quality is #1. Labor involved is irrelevant.

BTW I am thinking of frame, subfloor, weather seal (vapor seal), mylar, insulation, the rest I am unsure about.

I remember when I built my 50'x50'. To this day I wish I'd put it in the corner where it wouldn't be noticed.
