im going to be growing in a closet once i get my lighting sorted. im planning on growing 4 - 5 plants.

having a hard time deciding. these 2 options are the most i can afford.

CFLs. (Stuff-U-Like Mind Shop.)

3x purple 125watt CFLs OR 1x6400k & 2x 2700k (all 125watts)

total inc p&p = £54

HPS (Budget 400w Grow Light: Basement Lighting Hydroponics and Plant Grow Lights)

400watt HPS sylavania grolux with ballast

total inc p&p = £82


now also im trying to save money on the electric bill. will a HPS bulb cost ALOT more than running 3 CFLs?

also the CFL option doesnt include any E40 sockets with plugs. so they woudl probs be a 10er each.

the HPS option seems cheapest atm but dont know how it will reflect my bill throughout the 10 weeks or however long.

As far as your bill goes you are charged by the wattage, so 400 watts of cfl will cost the same as 400 watts of hps. I would go with the hps if you can vent everything properly; you are always going to get better results from hps, however if you can't control the heat, you will end up regreting it.

go with the HPS, they pay for themselves with the results......

And u can use them for veg and flowering....
