    mh is best but hps can be used veg through flowering with great results

    I have been trying to veg with my HPS for 3 weeks and they are just not growing very well. They are only a couple nodes high at 3 weeks. I have found that cfl's are even better than trying to veg with HPS. If i would have stuck with the cfls they would be around 8 to 10 inches tall by now. I will be getting a MH conversion bulb for my next grow. I don't think that it is worth the time trying to veg with a hps. Just takes too long.
