Default New grow cabinet help
I've just got a freezer that is no longer in working condition that i will be converting into a grow cabinet. I need to know if anyone would be able to assist me in venting ideas. I have the lighting all figured out but don't really know how to hook up for venting. Should i just cut a hole trew the freezer and install it that way or would there be a better way of doing it. It's just a small appartment size freezer that will be great for four plants or so. Just perfect for personal smoke.

Can someone help me out with this.

no pics yet. I still have to go pick it up from the guy that gave it to me. I want to get it ready for my next babies. The ladies i have now are just about done. so in the next week or so i'll be fixing up the freezer and using that. I figured it would be a great idea cause of white interiro and it seals up pretty good. I'll take a look at it and try to figure out how to cut a hole threw it. I figured that it would be the only way.

anything else i would have to consider befor attempting to convert the freezer? I am using a combo of cfl's and fluor's mostly CFL's, I baught a bunuch 42 watts, 26 watts, 23 watts. I thin kthe lights situation is good. now just to figure out teh venting.

should be able to pick up a cheap 4" holesaw
you could use a jigsaw,
or use a hacksaw blade.
drill a hole big enough to fit the saw in and cut away.

what are the inside dimensions of the freezer?

check out youtube they have instructions on how to make a grow fridge. It is very labor intensive though.

Definitely use a hole saw - they're pretty cheap and will cut a perfect hole through metal or wood.

From what I read fridges have the advantage of being light-proof outa the box, but ventilation is a must because they're also air-tight.

Also I would have thought a small fridge was more suited to 1, maybe 2 plants..

yeah. I will work at it. I know i need the ventillation because of it being air tight. I am not planning on growing to many plants in it. Just a few for personals. I hate buying the shit. It's too expensive the way i smoke anyways.

I'll start a bunch of seedlings but will be moving most of tehm into teh bush once tehy are 12" or so. I'll keep teh best 2-3 femals in the freezer and go with that for myself.

Thanks for teh advice. I'll post a pic once i have it done and all figured out.

Canadagreen.
