| | 400w stealth grow Room Design. | | Hello there all. Ok i have this design in mind for a tiny ass almost complete stealth 400w grow measuring 27.5" high, 35" wide and 2' deep. Its this cuby in a barn that i live in that is just prime. Its far away from the main hall where people walk through on the ocasian and in the bottom shelf of a giant cabinet that no one ever uses, it has fertilizer and paint and shit from like the 80s. im going to stealth it out with some cardboard box faces in the front and have just under the next shelf up. you would have to see it, i feel, for you all to feel the stealth magic, it will be in a journal, trust me. But for now could you lend a helping hand with this construction.
Any constructive criticism will be taken and very appreciated. I just want to make sure its feasible before i throgh all this time into a box thats just going to be a fat stanky oven of failure.
Ventilation-
2 Themaltake silent cats 120mm fans rated at 54 cfm and 16dba - intake
4 more silent cats for exaust (placed on the top back edge of the box
1 S&P 500 cfm fan at about half speed (i went for the high cfm fan so i can reduce the speed and have more managable sound) Also this will be hooked up to my lumatek 400w light with a cooltube.
What do you think? CAN it be done? More fans? I was thinking of sticking a home box type fan inside the cab to keep it all circulating nicely, too..? |

| | I think you should be fine, the only way to really tell is to set it up and test it. have the box running with the lights on without any plants in there and see what temps you get.
since you have the higher CFM fan, you can always speed it up, or adjust and switch fans around. |

| | haven't started it yet, still waiting on the bagseed to finish up, I had too many to get them all in there at once. I just took a couple pics the other day, just havn't gotten them up yet. i got about 4 more weeks until they will all be out of there, then I have to completely clean out the room, top to bottom (the bagseed is all hermie). want to make sure I get all the pollen floating around out of there before I get the good genetics in there. |

| | Yeah man kindof sucks, but theyl be up in time! Why does anyone ever worry about pollen, i hear it is only good for like s 3-4 days, then its not active or whatever term you want to use. but cool. That will be cool to see in the 400w club. |

| | yeah, I have no idea how long pollen is good for, I just want to be safe. I'm not taking any chances with the good genetics.
I'm acually gunna move my other 400W into the flower side also, so that I got both HID lights in the flower side. I've got some aquarium lights that work great that I can keep my clone and original seedlings happy with. I'm looking to get as much as possible out of the little room. |

| | when you say barn is it really a barn? like outside?
humidity, heat, bugs
those will be your 3 main problems.
i'm growing in an unfinished basement of a brand new house... new houses like this have lots of bugs in them from when they are framing it. spiders, crickets and gnats.. i'm dealing with it, not a huge problem.
just keep that in mind. mostly the humidity cause that can cause major mold problems.
good ventilation is KEY!!!
but yeah its feasable. do it and find out. only way to learn how to grow anyways. reading helps but trial and error teaches you instantly. only gotta screw up once to learn.
