Ok, Ive been studying Cannabis Cultivation for a Mintue now, And now I believe I am ready to start growing, I wanted to setup a Grow area in a Apartment(4-5 Average Plants). I am Using The DWC technique, Along with 2-1000 watt Hps system. The only thing is I'm moving into a two Bedroom ( With Both bedrooms being Occupied). I wanted to try out the Super Grow Cabinets, But they are charging outrageous Prices for them ($6,000-$7,000). So my question is, Did anyone have successful (small ) apartment grows, with 4-5 Plants using 2- 1000 watts System. And if so what was your setup? I am trying to achieve around 3-4lbs at Harvest, I just don't know where I would Place 4-5 plants in a apartment, Besides In a grow Cabinet.( But their Prices are Crazy.)

build one for a fraction of the price or just buy a metal cabinet they have ones that are 6ft tall and about 3 ft wide and 2 or 3 feet deep... three or four pounds is a tall order I doubt you'll be able to do that but using an omega garden system will be your best bet... be careful of flooding!

build your own. but where to put it is the question.? if you have the know how its always better just create your own. then its ALOT cheaper and you can modify however you like. will you have any large walk in closets or extra "cubby" holes anywhere else in the house. garage, attached shed, etc

But No Somkinjs, I don't have any other holes in the Apartment. I will have a walk-in Closet, But my only concern is Security. I thought a Grow Cabinet with a lock will do the trick, Since I do Have Little ones with me and Guests occasionally.That Should do the trick, but I'm Not paying $1,000's for a Grow Cabinet.
As far as where I would put it, It would go in my room blended in somewhere,lol.

Do you know where I can learn how to build my own Grow cabinet.

Also...any cab you build using even one of those 1000's is going to give you heat issues.

Thanks for the tip, But don't the built in fans help out with that? I also wanted to use a Metal Cab or something.

if youve never grown. or done any basic gardening. i wouldnt recommend starting with 2 1000 w hids. you need to get your feet wet first. even one of those lights can pull over an amazing yield. and yes you most surely want to have a VERY adequate ventilation system.... on a side note. its pretty hard to make a metal cabinet with a lock, and intake and exhaust ducting coming from it to the attic blend it in a bedroom.

i am wioth you that is a lot of light heat for such a small space. and yes if you know what you need in the cab. then go ahead make it out of anything i have seen freezers frigs any thing you want or can think it out.

Oh, Ok. So is there any other open Ideas I could try, I really did wanted to try out the 1000 watt System.

im saying just start off with 1 1000w system. instead of 2. but i wouldnt have it the bedroom if you said you have people over. so it would have to be stealth. that walk in closet is sounding good. it wouldnt have to take up your entire closet. but thats jsut a good location in an apt. how many people go walking in your closet. just YOU
