Ok so i have everything i could ever what for my grow room, only one problem. the warm and dirty air that is being ventilated through has now way out. if someone can tell me, or put up a link on where i can use a computer fan to direct the dirty air outwards that will help me a lot.

I rigged up some compy fans for a veg box, but with anything more than CFLs it's probably not going to cut it. You can really use any transformer you find around, as long as you have a number of fans you can connect in series or parallel to get the right resistive load. I ended up using four fans and an old laptop power supply putting two sets of two in parallel. I threw a pot on there and it works great.

yeah an AC adapter has a transformer in it along with the rectifier to convert AC to DC, which the fans need. you just need to look at the DC volts/amps output and compare it to what the fan should take. they vary quite a bit but if you hunt around on ebay you can find pretty much whatever you want for dirt cheap. if you're handy with either a soldering iron or wireless connectors and electrical tape, it's a piece of cake.

you'll want to mount it as was previously suggested, intake on bottom and exhaust on top. i installed a buffer near the intake so that it did not blow directly to the exhaust, but it depends on your dimensions/shape of your room.

Here is a good site with all sorts of bits and ends... Here is one way of doing it... This way is good because you can hook up more then one fan however you may find that some of the Wires are a bit short.

The power Supply can also produce quite a bit of heat.

yeah i keep mine outside of the box. you can keep it as far away as you like. the juice needed for those little guys is not much .. it's a computer laptop power supply running at far below its rated current.

Forget them silly lil comp fans unless your growing in a bread box,go to home depot & spend $20 to get an inline exhaust fan that will move some real air, just wire up a standard pluyd to the wires that hang off it & your all set.

That's great if you need it, but if - for example - you've got CFLs in your living space, you don't need the extra cooling power or need the extra noise.
