air flow fan question
hi all
i have a question on how many fans you should need ,i have a 4inch carbon filter connected to ruck 4inch fan thats sucking out nasty smells but i only put this on late on when the grow is nearly ready .i have a tall stand up fan in the room but its a bit bulky & in the way its just really pushing air about ,
do i really need a another fan sucking fresh clean air from out side the room ,where should it be fitted if i do .? high up like the extractor or does it not matter ,
as anyone any pics to give me an idea what to do ,
thanks

I have a similar problem, I live in a block of flats, ( unfortunately on the ground floor. all my walls, floors, ceilings are concrete, so getting fresh air in is a big problem, as I have a sealed unit, running 4 x 600 lights a 5"carbon extractor and am at the moment, ducting air in from an open chest freezer for my nine ladies

Any intake fan should be bringing in air down low opposite corner of exhaust. The exhaust should of course be opposite of intake but up high. I will take some pics quick before lights out and give you an idea of how I do it and post soon.

Here are some quick pics.
First is max fan with insulated ducting going into grow room. Notice cheap furnace filter at intake, it's 1/3 of a furnace fan filter and lasts about 3 weeks each.
Second is intake entering inside of grow room down low opposite of exhaust.
Third is carbon filter and fan(notice the small amount of ducting between filter and fan, this is so the vibrations of the fan don't disturb the filter which causes carbon to break up and filter to wear out faster). Filter/fan is up high in room opposite of low intake.
Fourth pic is just insulated ducting of exhaust leaving grow room.
Last pic is just osculating fan, one of three fans inside grow room moving air around. Others are a basic floor fan below this fan on floor, and a slim tower fan in opposite corner. You cannot have enough air circulation so it is important.
