There are many different green light bulbs on the market for this purpose .. The party bulbs are simply cheap painted bulbs and I do not advise using them ..

You can get green LED head torches.

Personally my feelings are that if you have to work during dark hours then your lighting cycle doesn't fit in around your life.

I run my lights 7pm-7am and do any work that's required generally after 8pm(once my son is settled and asleep)

..high man, sorry i didn't get back to you sooner but you know how it is. ...anyway, yes is the answer to this question and if you send me a link to where you have your grow posted i'll come by and take a look although i'm not a hydro expert man, just a hobby grower who's been at it a few years is all, lol.

...high man, i can dig where you're coming from as i remember what it was like trying to run a small, closet op with children in the house.

...frankly though, i do all my chores under my green light in an effort to be kind to my eyes, HPS light is BRIGHT!

...i use a cheap, green, CFL that is probably just one of the painted bulbs but i've been using it and doing all my chores under this green light now for almost a year with absolutely no issues.

    peace, bozo

...yeah man, it'd be better if you could post up your pics and your issues in public forum, that way it will be easier to discuss and, because it will be in a public thread you will get feedback from many sources, ...like i say, i'm no expert.

...there is also the fact that there are others who may be suffering the same issues and would benefit from reading, and participating in, our discussion.

I've never had a problem with using the party bulbs,

Though, I bought a green LED flash light from amazon that I use to get into my grow area and check things out.

If I am going to be in there for a minute or need both my hands I turn on the green "party bulb"

    It just makes life easier
