    Post Ventilation intake help

Hey all, I'm currently building my grow tent which is divided into two sections, a 4' x 4' x 6' veg room and a 8' x 4' x 6' flower room. The veg room will have one air cool 400 watt MH, and the flower room will have 2x 600 watt air cooled HPS. I'm not worried about heat problems at all because of the air cooled reflectors but I would like some advice on how to do the other ventilation. For the air cooled hoods I'll be running them all in a line and pulling the air through with a 440 CFM inline fan and then the air will be going into a different room. I'm going to be using a 6" carbon filter with a 440 CFM inline fan to exhaust the flowering room. I would like to exhaust the veg room into the flowering room right by the carbon filter with a 100 CFM exhaust fan. I was wondering if for the intake I could use a 165 CFM inline fan connected to a Y duct adapter for the intake of both rooms (since the veg room exhaust will also add some intake for the flower room), the intake would also have a DIY particle filter on it.

I drew up a quick sketch in paint in case I didn't explain clearly enough.
Any feedback/questions/comments are welcome, I would really like to know if this will work or if there is a better way of doing this. Thankyou

im curious to see vetern answers. i just contructed a room like urs. i have the carbon filter outside the room. after the exhaust collects air from both rooms it goes to filter. its all in one line. im a little slow to lookin at those diagrams sometimes lol. i wanted to draw from the filter and exhaust but couldnt find a way to collect stinky air from both rooms and still draw from filter thats inside the flower room. does that make sense?

Yeah we went through pretty much the same thinking process :P. This was the only thing I could come up with without having to use two separate intakes. I'm really confident it will work but I would like someone to double check the CFM ratio to see if I have the right powered fans for the setup.

newb stoner post i didnt answer question. i think yes it can work. as ive played with this in my construct and bends arent that bad. length of plus bend can be hard. id say definitely keep the lights in line much as possible(take into account different stages of growth plus strains etc..). if u have to bend for stages of growth have no curves if possible. ur draw should still be stronger than intake so it sounds cool. if too much draw get fan controller or add some holes lol(which i did) and it knocked some of my neg pressure build up

Oh okay yeah I didn't think much about the bends.. I could probably work around that by raising plants. If not would it work by adding a booster say inbetween the 2 600s and the 400? Or is it best to avoid altogether? And yeah I have speed controllers on all fans.

booster fan cant hurt but prob wont be needed i think. the fan will be stong with good risers for plants and minimal bend like ur aimin at. u got another fan for exhaust so i think the booster prob wont be needed for lights. if u can and i found this helpful for me to hook it up turn on lights minus filter and booster. check temp and the back of ur arm under. hell have a sit down for a couple min. i figured this. if u got the mind for sketch and theory let it work more for u. still ask ?'s but u can feel this one out literally. im gonna switch my rooms around for better draw on my air hood. i have a cpu fan on one side my hood with exhaust on the other that goes to fan. i did this to see if i can lower the light a few inches and if it will have any real effect

Heres a secret i just learned. When you cool alot of lights in a row, the heat your sucking out dissipates through the ducting and back into the room before its all sucked out (causing hot spots and stupid temp probs) i have 1600w in 2 4x4 tents and my secret is...
Insulated ducting! Thick ass ducting. No heat escapes so its all vented. Trust me, your 400cfm will be fine if you invest in some insulated ducting.
    -Sir Killington.

Ps my temps werr +110F, they dropped to 80F after i redid ducting. Also limit any bends an turns
