New medical patient in Michigan needs advice.

7x7 ft. space totally light proof with panda liner.

Two 1000w Magnetic Ballasts. ( I know that digital is better, but can't afford at the moment. I do have them outside the grow room, so they are not creating extra heat in the grow area).

Running two 1000w bulbs. One MH and one HPS. I currently have them about 24 inches above the seedlings. Ambient temp is 77 degrees. temp under the light is 82 degrees.

Two 6" inline fans with speed control. One is positioned near the ceiling and pushes the air for the cooled hoods and then vented outside. The other is bringing in outside air and blowing directly on the seedlings.

I will be using 5 gallon black canvas shopping bags for planters. (3 for $1) with aluminum baking trays under them for catching water runoff. I'm using half black gold all organic, and half fox farm ocean forest so I can do a side by side test.


I will be using all foxfarm nutes.

Right now my genetics lineup is as follows. (all are feminized seeds from attitude seed bank)
3 x Barney's pineapple chunk
3 x Great white shark
2 x Blueberry indica
1 x Cheese
1 x Blue Rhino
2 x white widow/ blueberry cross
Very impressed with attitude seed bank. Even though all the seeds come from different sources, the customer service is excellent. (MAKE SURE YOU PICK THE T-SHIRT OPTION FOR SHIPPING.) Pay the extra $6 for the T-shirt. It disguises the seeds very well. Plus if you buy the shirt, they guarantee your order will arrive at your door no matter what. If customs grabs your shit, they send you a new order a.s.a.p. for free! (So worth $6)

The seeds were popped in paper towels and transplanted on 8/2. They are doing well so far. The great white shark seems to be growing slower than the rest, but all three are the same height, so I'm thinking that's just the way the strain is.

Humidity has been anywhere from 40 to 55 percent in the room.

I have two zilla timers for the ballasts and fans. If I'm doing my math right, I'm pulling 11 amps per timer. (well under the rating for both the timer and extension cords.)

I'm running 18 and 6 to save some electricity.

Well, I think that's about it. If anyone has any advice, I would love to hear it.

Hey ass hole. My wife has M.S. and I have a spinal fusion that I'm recovering from. There are no legal resources to find genetics around here, So I had to import them. It's still illegal to import some things. That's why we have customs. I guess If your the only ass wipe that's going to respond to my comments this is the last time I'll post. Fucking douchebag.

that does not make sense, so your lovely government allows you to grow, but not your neighbour, also it is illegal to import seeds but legal to grow, i dont fucking get it, and cant you get drugs for m.s. or a spinal fusion.
my guess is you can.

To the op I'd suggest raising the lights, there is no need for 2000watts to be blasting from 2 ft. Make sure you get air movement at the canopy, sounds like a nice setup though.

Don't feed a troll. I get the shirt too.

Only thing I see is don't have a 6 inch blowing on the seedlings. Have it inter the room but have 8-12 inch fans blowing it over the canopy. You can change the speed as needed. You can wind burn them. And to start you don't need 2000w on them. If you have your seedlings in your finish pots not you just wasted the nutes in the soil. Always start small and move up. In some cases you can go almost 60 days without adding nutes. But when you go from sprouts to finish you wash away nutes. And could save power. Also seedling don't need the light that low till around 4-5 nodes. So yes take that light up higher. And yes still turn off the hps till they get bigger. A 1000 covers around a 5x5 steady 24 inchs. So when you take that to 48 you cover the 7x7 you have. And the lower lumens would be better at this time. In a few weeks that will change. And mh if for veg hps is for flower.

setup sounds nice...but maybe invest in some t5's...no need to run those 1k watt lights with only 12 seedlings... if you want to max that area out with your 12 plants ..maybe buy a screen and keep an even canopy and max that space/lights out...good luck...and sorry to hear about wife..i had spinal fusion too..it sucks...you get the cadaver bone fusion?

and ..negative pressure is ideal..(more air venting out than the intake)

I don't make the rules. Our government is a little backwards when it comes to alternative medicines. I don't know where you got it in your head that my neighbor can't grow. Anyone with a qualifying medical condition can grow in the lovely state of MI. I don't have to pull the wool over any doctors eyes. I have visited specialists. They had me on a heavy opiate dose everyday. If you've ever been addicted to opiates, you know that it will run and ruin you. That is why I want to use marijuana instead.(Less side effects). I've been off the opiates for 5 days now. (HOLY SHIT WHAT A RIDE). I think severe chronic pain has a lot more negative side effects on your health than smoking a little weed. (By the way, I don't smoke it anyway. I use a vaporizer or eat it.) So, my friend, I think you just picked someone to fuck with today because your life sucks, and you have to spread the misery.
