cooling a closet without cutting holes

the gallons will not work. they will melt too fast. you will need an a/c of some kind. maybe a window unit, about 100 bucks

When I first started I built a big cab in my closet. I didn't really need it but it gave me options for flowering and vegging in the same area. The two best ways I learned to combat the heat was doubling up exhaust and having a big open passive intake (pulling air is much more efficient than pushing it) and also the most important part, get rid of the heat completely. You cant just vent into the same area the intake is and expect it to change the temperature any amount. Since you don't want to cut up your house you'll have to run a vent to a window. I no longer use a cab but when I set up my bothers area we ran a vent to a blower fan (50$), which I easily modded the intake to fit the vent, that blew all the heat out the window. He uses dual air cooled 400s and hit temps were sitting pretty at 75 in a hot area of the US.

If it's building up, no other solution but to remove the heat you've already removed from your box, from the closet now. Fan blowing in the bottom and sucking out the top of the closet door? Might be more conspicuous looking than a 4" hole in a wall hidden inside a closet. It's not hard to replace the whole you cut when yo leave.

Going to be easiest to just get window unit. You said you leave the door open during the day. You said using cfl so there is no reason to go threw the trouble of running an exaust system with cfl lights. Best to keep. Grow under 90 degrees, 80 would be better.

Not sure of ur living arrangements butu can buy a door same size andcut the holes u need. When u move or whatever put the other door back on..tada
