small grow box. ~36inch width, 24 inch depth, 39 inch height.

have 2 17w t8 fls (2ft) on each sidewall as well as a 20w t12 grow fl and another 17w t8 on the back wall.

also have aerogarden lights running on extended cord
all supplemented by a 70w hps light on back wall as well.

placed lumens meter in center of box and needle is off the chart +10k.


am thinking of getting one more light 70w mh.


i expect that when the plants grow the lights will be close enuff

temp around 80ish. have one fan running but could add more. ph ~5.5

One suggestion...if you buy more fluorescents go t5. Way more light of the proper wavelength for plants. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

but then i would have to change my fixtures and considering they were free i'll wait and see the results of my first round.

i do have the room for a couple more 2footers on the side walls.

right now i am at four days of paper towel germination from 2-27-08 to 3-1-08 with 2 days of being in aero.

so far all looks ok.

Ok those light should veg good but what are you gonna use for flower as youll neeed more light then that

running a hps light as well

the grow area is only about 6-8 square ft

how do you keep your temps so low. I have a 150 watt hps and it way to fucken hot. Ive got one fan intake one exhaust and it still gets to like 95 degrees the space is small but the fans i got are rated 80 cfm each.
