    Ventilation Problems

Hi guys, pretty new grower here. I'm trying to get my outdoor shed going but Im having heat problems. I live in a very very hot climate where temperatures can reach 115+ in the summer. The cooler season isn't a problem but I cant grow year round which I'm trying to rectify.

I would like your opinions on my plan to lower temperatures in the shed. My house is 30 feet away, Im going to run a pvc pipe from the shed, under ground (30 ft), up the wall of my house into the attic. There it will connect to a vortex blower that's pulling its air from an a/c duct ill cut into. he vortex blower will be held in a box with sound proofing and a fan dimmer to lower sound.

    Thoughts?

    The Shed

    5' x 10'
    Interior: Mylar
    Exterior: Tin
Weather proofed with water striping, etc.

    The Lights

3 350 Watt HPS (Cool tubes but no vents hooked up).

    The Ventilation

3 Fans that move air around the shed
1 passive vent covered with a carbon filter sheet for passive outtake.

hook up the cool tubes to in line fans and exhaust them out of the shed. this will remove the heat from the lamps. if the outside temp gets to 115F, then i would assume you are going to need a AC unit. best of luck

i dont think you read it right, hes gunna splice into his homes ac duct and run the cooled air to the shed, not a horrible idea however the tube should really be heat shielded otherwise youll have lost a lot of energy in the transport. actually sounds like running power and getting a room ac like one of the rolling ones for like 300 to 400 maybe less just for theshed is what you may need

Are they safe? I worry about sound and fires.

    something like this guyhttp://www.amazon.com/Whynter-Dual-P.../dp/B0028AYQDC

depending on how much space you have and how cool you want it.

if you have a 10x10x10 space, and 115f down to 85 with good insulation would require 7000btu so since you have probably less than half the space, a bit ore heat from light and prob not so good insulation 12k to 14k btu would probably take care of your grow

and yes these things are safe, i got one and used it to cool an apartment a fewsummers

is there no way u could exhaust in to a sewers pipe or man hole seems like u would be pushing alot of air from the shed to the top of your house would it be that effective as it would have to travel a long way a friend of mine did a grow in his shed had same problem were to exhaust the air he used a water butt filled it with onna gel liquid and used it like a bubbler system no noise no smell worked a treat pumped the stall air in the water butt all i know is it worked well for him i would defanatly try to keep it as short as possible to get the best from the air exchange in your room good luck hope all goes well
