In line fan

i just bought a 6" duct booster fan from a hardware store, cost me $39.00 and it claims to move 250 cfm. since your tent is only 54 cubic feet this should be more than enough. the only shitty thing was the fan just came with the 3 wires coming out of the side, no cord. all i did was buy a cheap plug, hook up the green to the ground prong and the white and black to the other two prongs. there is an arrow on the side of the fan that shows the direction of flow, if you wire it wrong it will blow backwards so just switch the black and white wires. (just so you know your colors might be different or you could probly just buy a similar fan with the cord already on it) there might be better alternatives out there but this is just my advice

Depends on where you are growing and what your situation is. i.e. How much of a temperature deviance you need to ambient temps (growing throughout the year, loft or basement grow), how much stealth you need (noise, smell) etc. Generally, if money wasn't an issue I would recommend an 8" inline with variac speed-contol. In reality with a budget, a 4 or 5" inline with filter.

when i first was buying my equipment, I went out and bought the same inline fan from home depot that bbvc had mentioned. It did not work for me and I still ended up dropping 100 bones on a 4inch inline fan at a hydro store. You could probably find a cheaper inline fan online but expect to spend 75 dollars...just my 2cents
