lumatek dual 600W ballast

I wouldn't get it besause I for one think lumatek sucks and also if one of the ballests go out then u really have two lights out instead of one if the ballests fails ur out two lights until ur hydro store can fix it or they give u a new one and if u bought it online it could take a long time if they will even do it and not play games

don't get one. They will burn out. They run twice as hot. And then you will have two ballast out. I bought one because i only had 4 240V outlets and thought i could squeeze one more ballast out. And it went out. And i was double fucked. So what chemdog said is right.

you have to run them on a 240v outlet but besides that i think they are great. i've only ever owned lumatek ballasts and i've never had a problem with any of them. i don't have any dual ballasts but i have 2 friends that are running multiple dual ballasts and they love them.

thanks for the feedback everyone! i think i'll skip the dual feature...it hadn't occurred to me that when one broke, i would have to replace both since they are in the same case.

good points i hadn't considered chemdog, thanks! just curious, why do you think lumateks suck? which brand do you like?
