What I did was use a carbon filter attached to my 6in fan to scrub just the air inside of the room continuously on a low speed. this will kill all smell in the room as long as you have a quality filter and its not too old. The little bit of air getting out my a/c don't smell because the room don't smell. Do not put a filter directly on the ac vent this will greatly reduce the efficiency of your ac and cause it to fail sooner.

if you are wanting to go sealed then the first thing to understand is if you are using a portable ac is that thet are by far the most inefficient ac sold. and dont think that the ones with two hoses are any better. there is no way to even use the word sealed by using a portable or even a window style ac. if you want sealed get a minisplit. i used 24 tubes of silicon caulk and rubber paint building my 6x10 room, have no exhaust and no odor control. that is sealed.

i have a window ac.. and a sealed room..
i just have my cool tube hooked up so im sucking cold air from the lower duct holes and vent it out the top of a duct hole. just out into my bedroom.
i use co2 also.
window ac work very well actually. if anything swamp coolers are the least effective. dont know what dude was talking abut above me.
Dont legalize! Just decriminalize!!

the words swamp cooling were said by you, which is a completely different story altogether. i said water cooling, and if you dont know what it is try and read up on things before you try to insult or belittle someone. using cold water to cool a room is the most energy efiicient way there is.
