Yes,, and a muffler.
Recomend the fan speed controller as well to control noise more than anyting and you got a lot of headroom air volume wise with a small space. It'll reduce noise more than 50%
I once heard of this girl nicknamed "the schwag", she didnt look that good but everyone hit it anyway
ive heard mixed opinions which one would work well with this one? or which one is good is general?
Well, if you don't need hardly the amount of cfm's produced by the fan due to your small space, why not a speed controller. It really does reduce the noise. I've tried it on my 8" Active Air inline and it goes from loud to hardly any noise at all at 50%.
The controller is very inexpensive anyways...If you don't like it, toss it...but I don't see any reason you wouldn't like it...
just reading some of the reviews some are a hit or miss, and some just plain dont work with the fan, i added this one to my order.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i01 its like 25 bucks, hope it is a good one if not then i ogtta order the other one which is like 20.
does this fan have brushes in it?
No. These fans use a permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor.
On that note.
These speed controllers use high commutation 3 quadrant triacs.
They are designed for use on AC inductive loads without the need for a protective snubber.
