The Road to getting Dialed In

Hi,

Newb here. I totally understand that I need to develop skills and knowledge side by side and evolve as I go. This path has begun. I am however looking at forward planning a final system in order to work backwards and develop a Dialed in Plan. I would appreciate any advice on my plan so far, followed by some questions.

I foresee the following:

Existing
5'x5' tent for flowering using Vscrog
HPS lamps 2x600 + 1x 200

Planned
Seed/clone box
smaller veg tent
DWC, maybe NTF
temp/humidity/Co2/circulation control system(s)


So, I think my conundrum is which to embrace first, the feeding system or the environment control. I am also looking at experimenting with short day cycles next time out and perhaps messing with supplemental lighting and nutes to maximise ve/flower cycles but only baby steps. With regard the environmental control, I have not so far taken any readings, (will start soon). I err towards an all singing & dancing system but can aslo see that although labour intensive each one of them is easy enough to maintain with half a brain, yes/no? Which leads me to think that I develop the feeding system first, or not?

Am I being niaive to think that the above considerations are of less significance to a seed box? currently I am thinking this is the least of my worries and anticipate that the feed delivery and enviro control are the headaches?

Obvioulsy any other advice, pointers, opinion is welcome. Fire away please.
