Default Squirrel Fan and ducting
Ya hey

I need to duct my grow space. It has 4" exhaust ducting. I was looking at a 400 CFM Dayton Squirrel fan. Is there an easy adapter to make it work with the ducting. I've never worked with/seen a squirrel fan in person, so I'm just wondering if I can make it work (or just go with an in-line)...

Thanks

I hear there is one, but I never found it. I made my own out of scrap metal and duct tape.

Yea they sell the adapter, the intake is 13 and the exhaust is 10 dollars, you might as well get a inline fan and a speedster control

Reliable sages on the boards have stated that a speedster is an overpriced rheostat [router speed controller] Available from harbor freight for $10, Speedster is what $30-$40? I am no electrician, Hell on a technicality I suppose everything i do is "Nigger Rigged", but i guess they both work the same way. They interrupt the current and turn it into an pulsing 120volt current instead of a constant one. The speed is regulated by adjusting the speed/timing of pulses, whereas a dimmer switch just reduces voltages [and starts fires if ya hook it to a fan] Heres a link, Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

Whities use the term "Jury Rig" instead. Perhaps you should look into that, it worked great for OJ.

Perhaps thats why the term is "Jerry Rig"...
Urban Dictionary: jerry-rig

jerry-rig

To fix an object (usually mechanical) to a working condition in a haphazard way

BZZZZZZZZZZZT

Wrong!

Jury rig - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jerry-rig is a bastardization of 'Jury rig' (which has a nautical derivation) and 'jerry-built' which was a presumably English denigration of German products.

"jerry-built"/"jury-rigged"

Also, this thread totally harshed my mellow. Thanks guys.
